Lismore Showgrounds

A Strategic Venue Supporting Primex’s Future

The relocation of NORCO PRIMEX FIELD DAYS to the Lismore Showgrounds signals a bold step forward for one of Australia’s premier agricultural events. Centrally located in Northern NSW and just minutes from Lismore’s CBD, the showgrounds offer improved accessibility, accommodation options, and transport links for the 80% of attendees who travel over 50km to reach the event.

A important consideration for Primex is based on the venue currently undergoing a $4.7 million infrastructure upgrade, the Lismore Showgrounds are being transformed into a first-class regional events hub. New and refurbished facilities will include livestock zones, internal roads, exhibitor spaces, food and administration areas, and upgraded amenities to support large-scale operations. Primex are also working closely with all stakeholders to encourage and attract additional investment needed to ensure a long-term vision and growth for not only Primex, but attracting new events to the region. This has been what we have been advocating for almost 2 decades for the Northern Rivers. These developments align with Primex’s vision for sustainable growth and a future-ready event experience.

The venue’s layout and flexibility are ideal for hosting over 400 exhibitors, 1,400 suppliers, and more than 30,000 visitors, with ample indoor pavilions and open-air display areas. On-site camping options, including powered and unpowered sites, further enhance the convenience for exhibitors and rural attendees alike.

Already home to the North Coast National – Lismore Show, regular farmers markets, and community events, the showgrounds are a natural fit for Primex. The site supports both business-to-business engagement and community-focused programming, aligning perfectly with Primex’s focus on paddock-to-plate, innovation, and agricultural education.

This move is more than logistical—it’s symbolic. Lismore’s recovery and resilience reflect Primex’s own evolution, with both united in delivering strong outcomes for regional Australia. With widespread support from local government, industry, and the broader community, the Lismore Showgrounds represent not just a new venue, but a long-term home for innovation, inclusion, and leadership in agriculture.
