The Jindi shelter: 3D Printed Housing

The Jindi shelter: 3D Printed Housing

Take a look at Jindi! Jindi is a 3D-printed building that completes the loop in the circular economy by using recycled plastic as its primary raw material, which is then coated inside and out with a thin layer of special basalt-reinforced cement. Jindi is designed to solve the affordable housing crisis by consuming waste plastic. The self-supporting parametric design has undergone extensive testing by our engineering partners at Southern Cross University ReCirculator, with outstanding results.

Visit the Southern Cross University’s Activation (Education Hub) at H12 to see a scaled-down version of Jindi that serves as a mini-garden shelter.

Daily - on display on Southern Cross University site H12.
