National Agriculture Day 2026

Connecting North Coast Agriculture, Industry & Opportunity

Friday 20 November 2026 | Lismore Workers Club, NSW

Primex Field Days, in collaboration with the National Farmers’ Federation (NFF), the Association of Agricultural Field Days of Australasia (AAFDA) and industry partners, is bringing together the North Coast’s agricultural, food, beverage and fibre industries for a special National Agriculture Day initiative.

CONNECT • SHARE • COLLABORATE • CELEBRATE

More than a celebration, the event will connect farmers, growers, producers, processors, manufacturers, freight and logistics providers, educators, training and skills development organisations, careers advisors, recruitment and employment services, business leaders, government and industry organisations to strengthen supply chains, share knowledge, develop workforce capabilities, build commercial relationships and create new opportunities.

Event Program

Industry Connect | From Paddock to Product to Market

Approximately 1:00–3:00 pm

An interactive industry and business development forum connecting regional businesses, from emerging producers and start-ups to established manufacturers and exporters, alongside education, training, recruitment and workforce development providers.

The program will feature:

  • 60-second industry pitches: showcase products, capabilities, services, expertise and opportunities.
  • Speed networking and business matchmaking: connect with potential customers, suppliers, specialists and industry partners.
  • Industry knowledge and expertise: share practical insights across production, processing, packaging, branding, marketing, e-commerce, freight, distribution and market access.
  • Education, training and workforce connections: engage with educators, registered training organisations, skills development providers, agricultural careers advisors, recruitment agencies and employment support services to explore career pathways, apprenticeships, traineeships, upskilling and workforce opportunities.
  • Regional collaboration: identify new partnerships, commercial opportunities and practical solutions to industry challenges, including workforce recruitment, development and retention.

National Agriculture Day | Regional Food & Fibre Celebration

2:00–5:00 pm

Join farmers, growers, agribusinesses, exhibitors, educators, training providers, industry organisations, government representatives and regional business leaders to celebrate the achievements and importance of North Coast agriculture.

An afternoon of industry networking, regional food and fibre promotion, knowledge sharing and meaningful connections, recognising the producers, businesses, workforce and communities driving our regional economy.

The two programs will operate with some planned overlap, providing flexibility for participants to engage in relevant activities.

INDUSTRY ORGANISATIONS, EDUCATION, TRAINING & BUSINESSES – TIME TO GET INVOLVED

We invite grower groups, industry associations, businesses, education and training providers, careers advisors, recruitment agencies, employment services, workforce development organisations and regional networks to help facilitate and contribute to this initiative.

BUILDING TOWARDS NOURISH AT NORCO PRIMEX 2027

National Agriculture Day is not only a celebration, but the beginning of a broader industry engagement initiative.

Connections and opportunities identified in November will support continued collaboration, business development, education, training and workforce engagement, building towards Nourish: Food, Drink & Paddock to Plate at Norco Primex Field Days, 20 – 22 May 2027, at Lismore Showgrounds.

Nourish will showcase regional food and beverage producers, connect businesses with consumers and buyers, and create further opportunities for industry engagement, innovation and commercial growth.

The broader Primex 2027 program will also provide opportunities for agricultural education, training, careers, recruitment and workforce development organisations to connect with producers, employers and emerging industry talent.
