‘Growing the Future’
Norco Primex Field Days 2026 has aligned with the theme “Growing The Future”, an initiative reflecting the strength and opportunity across the Northern Rivers and bringing together agriculture, innovation, education and regional enterprise through Primex’s Industry Hubs and diverse exhibitor base. It’s an opportunity for the wider regional and rural communities to connect with agriculture and the industries shaping the region in a relaxed and engaging environment, reinforcing Primex’s commitment to Lismore and the future of regional communities.
Exhibitor Welcome
Lismore City Council will host an Exhibitor Welcome on Wednesday 20 May, bringing exhibitors together at the conclusion of bump-in to connect, unwind and prepare for the event. The evening will provide key event briefings alongside a relaxed networking opportunity to engage with industry, stakeholders and fellow exhibitors ahead of Primex 2026.
NSW Farmers | Cattle Tick & Cattle Fever – Stay Ahead | Panel Discussion
Thursday 21st May 2026, 9.30am for 10.00am – 11.30am
Join NSW Farmers for an information panel on cattle tick and tick fever, key biosecurity issues for cattle producers in north-eastern NSW. Hear from industry experts, participate in a Q&A, and connect with fellow producers.

Municipal Works Australia
Thursday 21 May 2026, 11am-12.30pm
Municipal Works Australia will host a regional networking and professional development event on Thursday 21 May, bringing together council operational staff from across the Northern Rivers. The session will provide a valuable forum to share ideas, strengthen connections and hear from industry experts on key topics including managing change and mental health in the municipal works sector.
NSW Farmers | Native Vegetation Map Information Session
Thursday 21 st May 2026, 1:00pm – 4.00 pm
NSW Farmers invites members and non-members to attend an Information Sessions on Native Vegetation Maps.
Uncertainty around land management regulations has prompted NSW Farmers to invite Local Land Services and The NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water – Mapping Team to assist landholders to understand the rules and use of the Native Vegetation Regulatory (NVR) Map.
DCCEEW will outline how the map works, what the different map categories mean, and have staff available for one-on-one discussions to help you understand the mapping on your property. LLS will share insights into the most frequent issues they are seeing locally, explain how these fit within the relevant land management codes, and provide guidance on how best to approach these matters.
NSW Farmers | Farming After Hours – Networking Event

NSW Farmers Lismore Alstonville Branch is hosting Farming After Hours — a chance to catch up with fellow farmers and agricultural professionals while you’re in Lismore for Primex 2026. Norco Primex Business Leaders Luncheon

This annual luncheon provides a chance to step away from day‑to‑day demands and spend time with leaders who are actively shaping the Northern Rivers. The afternoon is designed to be relaxed yet purposeful, creating space for conversation, connection and the exchange of perspectives on the industries, partnerships and ideas driving regional innovation.
Australian Macadamia Society
The Australian Macadamia Society will host a dedicated industry networking event at Primex 2026, bringing growers together to connect, share insights and engage with the latest innovations supporting orchard productivity and profitability. Headlined by CEO Ben Baldwin, the session will align with Primex’s broader horticulture and AgTech program, offering growers direct exposure to machinery, irrigation, soil health, sustainability systems and emerging technologies in a live, practical environment, followed by networking to strengthen industry connections.
Cattle Australia | Beef Brief
Friday 22 May 2026, 1.30pm – 4.00pm
Cattle Australia will host the Beef Brief as part of the Pacific Beef Program at Primex 2026, bringing together producers, industry leaders and stakeholders for a focused session on the key issues shaping the future of the beef industry.
Headlined by CEO Will Evans, the session will deliver expert insights and panel discussion across policy, markets, innovation, sustainability and biosecurity, followed by informal networking to support connection across the supply chain.
Lismore High School Tiny Home Auction

With the help of Dean, Scott, Brett and Shane, alongside local industry professionals, the students of Lismore High School have just put the finishing touches on another incredible achievement. Built with hard work, teamwork and determination, this project showcases the amazing skills our students are developing through hands-on learning and community partnerships.
Regional Industry Education Partnerships (RIEP)
The Regional Industry Education Partnerships (RIEP) program, led locally by Senior Project Officer Toni Bellos, will support strong engagement across the Education & Careers Hub at Primex 2026, connecting students with real industry pathways. Working with 27 schools across the Northern Rivers, RIEP facilitates practical learning through industry-led projects and partnerships, while creating opportunities for students to engage directly with employers, explore career options and gain real-world insight. Exhibitors are encouraged to participate by sharing their experiences, supporting student interaction and contributing to industry-led discussions that help shape the future workforce.
NSW DPIRD Farms of the Future
The NSW DPIRD Farms of the Future program will headline the AgTech & Innovation Hub at Primex 2026, showcasing leading technologies driving productivity, efficiency and sustainability across modern farming systems. Primex uniquely brings together producers, contractors, councils, suppliers and decision-makers in one integrated marketplace, combining cutting-edge AgTech with one of the largest displays of tractors, machinery and equipment ever assembled in Northern NSW.
With extensive coverage across machinery, agtech, livestock, horticulture, construction, transport and regional industry, Primex delivers a live comparison and engagement environment where business, industry and government connect directly with their target audience.
Extended hours for Primex Friday Evening
For the first time in its history, Norco Primex Field Days will introduce extended hours on Friday evening, made possible by its new home at the Lismore Showgrounds. This exciting addition opens the gates to a broader community experience, inviting families and the wider region to come along after hours and enjoy the event in a relaxed and vibrant setting. From impressive machinery displays and agtech innovation to food, local produce and entertainment, Primex is creating a unique opportunity for the community to connect with the industries that shape the region. It’s a celebration of the Northern Rivers, bringing people together, supporting local businesses and showcasing the strength and future of our regional communities.
Young Farmer Sundowner

The Young Farmer Sundowner is a key networking event at Primex 2026, bringing together the next generation of agriculture from across Northern NSW and Southern Queensland.
Delivered by the NSW Young Farmer Council in partnership with North Coast Young Aggies, this event provides a valuable opportunity for young farmers, industry participants and emerging leaders to connect in a relaxed, social setting following a full day at Primex. As part of one of Australia’s most comprehensive primary industry events, the Sundowner plays an important role in strengthening industry networks, fostering collaboration and supporting the future of agriculture through meaningful connections.
