Meet and greet with Bundjalung Woman & Landcare Ambassador Mindy Woods on Friday 11am to 1pm in Pavillion 1 at the North Coast Regional Landcare Exhibit. Mindy Woods, Masterchef and Bushtucker Advocate will be on site to discuss a range of topics including Food Lineage, Seasonality of Foods, Food and Cultural Resilience, Connection to Community through land and food and, how to process and cook with foods. On display will be a Coolamon, Natives, Spice Packs, books and more. Don’t miss the opportunity to meet and hear from this special Native Food Queen.

The Richmond Valley Council Environment and Sustainability team is hosting a Flying-Fox cookie decorating workshop.Providing 1 cookie per attendee, we will have stations of various decorations available for children to create their own flying-fox masterpieces to take with them. We will be providing information on the importance of flying-foxes as the children express their creativity with icing and sprinkles.

Old Macdonald’s Travelling Farms operates throughout Australia, ‘bringing the bush to the City every day with excitement and education for the young and nostalgia for the not so young! This family friendly attraction will allow you to pet, feed and learn about farm animals like lambs, calf, alpaca, piglet, chickens, chicks, ducks, guinea pigs and rabbits.

FREE Admission, open from 9am - 3.30pm ($2 to feed the animals)

In our demonstrations we showcase some of Australia's Awesome Wildlife! Highlighting the amazing abilities these animals have developed to enable them to survive in Australia's harsh environments. Some may even refer to these abilities as superpowers ....think of it! Can you hold your breath like a sea turtle?! Or sleep for 16-18 hours a day, whilst being called adorable.... Wildlife demonstrations; snakes, lizards and dingoes!
